What do people consider the biggest obstacle to living a healthy life? The answer, according to a 2015 Asia-Pacific Health Poll conducted by Herbalife, is a lack of time. The nutrition company will address that challenge and other health issues this month during its Asia-Pacific Health and Wellness Tour.
Los Angeles-based Herbalife is bringing its fourth Health and Wellness Tour to 21 cities in 14 markets across the Asia-Pacific region. The company’s three previous tours attracted more than 60,000 participants. This year, Herbalife has tapped five members of its Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) to share their expertise on topics including weight management, brain health and aging, heart health, immunology, and skin care.
The Herbalife NAB experts also will focus on issues raised by the company’s 2015 Health Poll. Last month, Herbalife partnered with YouGov to survey 1,200 people across Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea and Thailand. Three in five respondents expressed high concern about the potential diseases caused by an unhealthy lifestyle, and nine in 10 believed that simple lifestyle changes could help improve their overall well-being. Turning that knowledge into positive habits, on the other hand, proves challenging. Among respondents, 62 percent cited a lack of time to exercise, while 40 percent said they lack the time to make proper nutritional choices.
“The findings from the Herbalife survey clearly show that the majority of people in Asia Pacific that we questioned believe in the value of good nutrition and exercise as contributing to their overall well-being,” William Rahn, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Herbalife Asia Pacific, said in a statement. “We aim to play a greater role in providing practical tips and information to people to help them understand that the journey to a healthier, more active lifestyle is not difficult to achieve.”
