Amway India that launched its new range of products in hair conditioning, styling and scalp tonic category for the first time in India is mulling to start a health and beauty centre for this coastal city. At present, Amway, a leading direct selling FMCG company is having such centres in the state capital Bengaluru and Mysuru. These centres will offer specialised services on health and nutrition and beauty tips to users.
Sujoy Bose, #associate vice-president, #amway india (South) who launched the #global #satinique range on Friday told a select group of media that Amway that was into food supplements has since made a major foray in to hair care segment after its success in skin care segment. “Hair care segment in India is growing annually at 10% and accounts for Rs 12,000 crore business. Professional hair care accounts for Rs 480 crore,” he said.
While people could access the services of the health and beauty care centre proposed here through the FMCGs distributor’s network, Amway will also keep its options open for direct approach requests by individuals as well, he said. Professional dieticians and beauty experts will suggest the best diet possible, health supplements that need to be taken as well as give advice and tips for health and skin care at the centre, Sujoy explained.
About the new Satinique range in India, which offers professional results and salon like finish at home, he said, it consists of four shampoos for different hair needs, a glossy repair conditioner, a revitalizing masque, a scalp tonic and a styling gel. This is the first time that Amway India is targeting the burgeoning conditioner, styling and scalp tonic market in the India and is priced at Rs 325 onwards, with vibrant and bold colors packaging.
